Q: How does a typical On-Site Massage visit work? |
A: The acupressure massage is designed especially for company workplaces or people working together in the
same place. Typically it will take the form of a whole day or a half day visit, with a series of 20 minute sessions.
We also work at music studios and exhibitions. Below, Kneading People is featuring at the Complementary Health
Exhibition in Dorking, Surrey.

Q: How
many people can be kneaded in one session?
A: Each
massage takes around 20 minutes. Each Kneader can work up to a maximum of 20 sessions per day. We can provide as many
kneaders as are required.
Q: Do
I have to provide any equipment or a special area? A: No, the kneader will bring
their own special ergonomically designed acupressure massage chair that assembles in seconds and can be sited easily in a
meeting room.
Q: Will
it leave me too relaxed to go back to work?
A: You will be relaxed and also rejuvenated. The massage has been designed with the workplace in mind.
Consequently there are two sections - the relaxation phase and the rejuvenating phase to return you revitalised to your work.
Q: Do
I need to take off any clothes?
A: The
massage is designed to work through your normal work clothes.
Q: When
is the best time to have an On-site massage?
A: Anytime
- we see clients on Monday morning right through to Friday evening - Regular on-site treatment is an effective way of improving
and maintaining your welfare.
Q: I
am a sole practitioner with no staff - is it suitable for me?
A: The minimum number we knead is twelve people. However we have some offices that combine with their
neighbouring offices. It can be a great way to develop other company interactions. Contact us to discuss
possibilities.
Q:
Is it suitable for everyone - our staff varies widely in age and size?.
A: The
practitioner screens for contra-indications. This massage is suitable for most people. If it is not suitable for
you, then the on site massage therapist will suggest other appropriate treatments.
Q: Do
your practitioners carry insurance?
A: Yes - we are covered
by professional liability insurance.
Q: How
often should we have on site massage?
A: On Site
Massage can transform the day and we see clients on a regular basis. It is an extremely effective way of maintaining
good circulation. Massage improves circulation by up to 25%, improves the working of the immune system and reduces the
possibility of RSM, backache and headaches. We sit on chairs, look at screens and often have limited movement in our
work. Massage exercises the muscles which office work does not reach.
Q: What
is the difference between On-Site massage and a massage using oil?
A: On Site
Massage is specifically designed with the workplace in mind. It works on acupressure points throughout the body - eliminating
toxins and improving circulation. In just 20 minutes you are rejuvenated.
An oil
massage can feel more appropriate in a clinic and tends to focus on relaxation rather than the needs of the workplace.
With On
Site Massage we come to you so you don't have to spend a long time travelling to and from an appointment.
Q:
Are there any side effects?
A: Yes
- you will feel good! You may well also find that you drink more water as your natural thirsts return. After a massage the body needs rehydrating so you may well find you will be drinking more water.
Drinking more water will make a huge difference to your life, we promise!!
Q: What
types of client enjoy the benefits of on site acupressure massage?
A: It is
a mixture. The embracing factor is that everyone spends a lot of time stationery
at a work station: mostly at desks - but sometimes at music stations. Solicitors, Charities, Journalists,
HR Consultants, Actuaries, IT Specialists and Musicians – they all appreciate on site acupressure work. Some of our client list includes the following: Mercer
Human Resource Consulting Ltd; VNU Entertainment Media; The Bookseller; The Hollywood Reporter; Christian Aid; Disney; Harrison Pursey Recruitment; Vizards Solicitors; Thomson Snell and Passmore,
